NORTH OF BRIDGEWATER, SD - Eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 near the Bridgewater exit are open again after being closed for about five hours Thursday. Authorities closed the stretch of interstate while crews worked to cleanup following a two-vehicle crash involving a semi and RV. The semi was carrying about 25 blocks of cheese estimated to weigh 700 pounds each. The state Department of Transportation used pay loaders and dump trucks to remove the cheese. Ace Towing of Salem brought in wreckers to move the vehicles. Interstate traffic was rerouted north to Highway 38 while the crash site was cleared. The interstate re-opened just after 4 p.m. | |
